about
This is the first release from the LA duo, Blond in Car. Brendan (producer, songwriter) used to be an engineer - very math/science. Robin (singer, songwriter) used to be a film producer until she started writing songs for movies, TV shows and commercials. These two refugees from other worlds met through a random mutual friend for a writing session and discovered a mutual love for Daft Punk and The Zombies. They wrote one song and decided that together maybe they could make music they would love. Somebody once said: write the music you want to hear. So they are believing in that purpose - and the result is indie pop electronic modern retro thoughtful hooky moody sweet honest fun - all of the above. The name comes from the one non-speaking movie part Robin once had - she was "blond in car" but now she and Brendan are Blond in Car. Let's go.
lyrics
Just because she’s bad at love
Does that need to mean
That it’s not allowed for her
On a crowded floor
People dance and don’t look up
Don’t see anything
Focus on the louder girls
They don’t notice her
If she’s different she’s invisible
Who will find her hidden beautiful
Do you know
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Could it be you tonight
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Maybe that somebody is you
Take a step you don’t expect
Find a way to say
Words you never said before
Open up a door
What a change a day can make
You see suddenly
Can it be that she’s not the
Only lonely one
She won’t need to be invisible
You might find her hidden beautiful
Do you know
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Could it be you tonight
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Who’s gonna love that girl
Could it be you tonight
Could it be you tonight
Could it be you tonight
Could it be you tonight
Maybe that somebody is you
Could you be the one
Could you be the one tonight
Could you be the one
Could you be the one tonight
Could you be the one
Could you be the one tonight
Could you be the one
Could you be the one tonight
